PLANNING

Today, I want to try and do some more painting.  Last time I couldn't work as much as a planning error that I had not anticipated before made me put my painting on hold for a while.

TAKING ACTION

I was able to accomplish a lot today as I was able to finish everything I planned to do last time. I completed painting all the books, and began working on painting the desk which will form the base of everything. After I completed painting the desk and while the canvas was drying, I remapped the locations of the tea cup and the clock on the canvas and re-painted them. I also realized that I had to change the way I had painted the table. Through my research I remembered that in that era, wooden tables were made of planks and there was no way for people to make smooth wood surfaces. I had to be cognizant of this aspect while doing the piece. Secondly, since this person was doing desk work, I needed to paint the ornamental structures to have a must less expensive look like a bronze or a simple metal rather than have a gold plated look.
